Asbel Lhant

liar—liar-pants-on-fire:

“Nah, I think anyone can appreciate a drive like that,” he told Asbel with a grin. While he still had some serious doubts about this guy leading a hamster…well, the guy was a lord. A little flattery could probably go a long way here. Besides, it was true. The morals and drive were respectable, if nothing else.

“I guess you could say that,” he finally replied casually, “but small or large, it doesn’t really matter so long as a place is interesting.” Which this one…wasn’t. Well, that wasn’t quite true. He had the means—and the need, really—to make it interesting, but he was still working out how to do that.

“So, you seem pretty,” he hesitated, “free.” Grinning cheekily, he glanced around the—bustling was hardly the word for it, perhaps sluggish? sleepy?—town. “Care to give me the grand ol’ tour?”

Asbel did intend to leave after what he had said last, but now… well, the man apparently was now showing some interest in the town.  Or at least trying to.  Lhant was not a place that depended on visitors at least, not with the cryas mines being their main source of income.

So to give the stranger a tour… How long ago did he last do something like that?

“I guess… that’s fine.” he replied with some hesitation, before smiling politely at the taller male, “I will show you around.”
